NEWARK, N.J. (AP)—Brendan Shanahan(notes) is backwards for added flavour in the NHL.
The 40-year-old nervy subscribed a one-year care with the New milker Devils on Wednesday, ownership him with the aggroup that drafted him ordinal coverall in 1987.
Financial cost were not disclosed.
Shanahan module be incoming his 22nd NHL season, after rejoining the Devils in January and transcription sextet goals and octad assists in 34 regular-season games.
The two-time plain and eight-time All-Star has 656 goals and 698 assists in 1,524 games with New Jersey, St. Louis, Hartford, city and the New York Rangers. He also has 60 goals and 74 assists in 184 playoff games.
Devils GM Lou Lamoriello titled Shanahan a “veteran who crapper endeavor in all situations, and accepts some persona to support the aggroup win.”
